Diwali celebrations at Huddersfield Town Hall
IT’S the start of the celebration of light and members of all faiths celebrated Diwali last night.
A Diwali celebration featuring dance, drama and traditional food took place at Huddersfield Town Hall.
Kiran Bali, chairman of the Huddersfield Interfaith Council, said: “Diwali isn’t until November 5 but we wanted an event for all faiths to embrace Diwali.
“It’s a great occasion to bring everyone together.”
Children from local schools put on a dance performance while guests were entertained with Indian dancing.
