Pupils find out it’s good to talk

PUPILS at Huddersfield New College have found that it’s good to talk.
The college at Salendine Nook organised a tea and chat event to raise awareness of the importance of talking to friends and asking for help from professionals.
One in four people will suffer from mental health difficulties at some point during their lives.
The college wanted to show how important it is that young people are encouraged to overcome the stigma attached to conditions such as anxiety, stress and depression.
The drop-in day was held in conjunction with NHS Kirklees, other local colleges and Huddersfield University.
Cash raised from the event will be donated to national mental health charity MIND.
