A MAN has been given an indefinite jail term for crippling his victim in an horrific knife attack.
Colin David Ryan used a kitchen knife to attack 58-year-old John Greaves in the George pub in Cleckheaton.
He plunged the knife in six times and at least two of the blows damaged Mr Greaves’ spine.
He now suffers from paralysis on one side of his body and cannot work anymore.

Ryan admitted grievous bodily harm with intent in the attack on March 27.
Jailing 40-year-old Ryan, of Whitechapel Road, Cleckheaton, at Leeds Crown Court, Judge Paul Hoffman told him: "You have made a cripple out of him.’’
He imposed an indeterminate jail sentence, but said he must serve at least five-and-a-half years and would only be released when the Parole Board was satisfied its members felt he no longer posed a risk.
