Dewsbury driver arrested after Yorkshire Dales death crash

A DRIVER from Dewsbury involved in a fatal crash in the Yorkshire Dales has been arrested by police probing the tragedy.

The accident involved a black Kawasaki motorcycle and a silver Ford Mondeo and happened on the A59 west of Skipton between Broughton Hall and the junction of the A59 and the A56 at 5.15am on Monday.

The rider of the Kawasaki, a 55-year-old man from Keighley, was taken to Airedale General Hospital at Steeton where he was pronounced dead at 9.20am.

The driver of the car, a 32-year-old man from Dewsbury, was arrested by police.
