Huddersfield driver suffered serious spinal injuries in Penistone smash

A HUDDERSFIELD man was seriously injured in a crash with a lorry.
The 32-year-old suffered spinal injuries when his Nissan Terrano collided with a DAF lorry that was performing a U-turn on Huddersfield Road near Penistone.
His car left the road and overturned before hitting a wall.
The collision happened at the junction with Halifax Road just after 6.45pm on Monday.
The man’s injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The 52-year-old Rotherham man who was driving the lorry was unhurt.
