The Examiner to move back into Huddersfield town centre

THE Examiner is to have a new office in Huddersfield town centre.

The move means that from next spring readers will be able to pop into the office at John William Street to book holidays, ads and order photographs.

Meanwhile, the Examiner is to have a new head office at Pennine Business Park off Bradley Road in Bradley. This is where the journalists and production team will be based, along with advertising staff.

These decisions have been made after the Examiner sold its building at Queen Street South to the University of Huddersfield.

Examiner editor Roy Wright said: “The building on Queen Street South no longer meets our business needs but we were very keen to keep a strong presence in Huddersfield town centre.

“The nearest suitable premises we could find were at Bradley, but we were anxious to be accessible to our customers which is why we have made the decision to have an office right in the heart of the town centre.

“This shows our continuing commitment to our readers and the community we serve.”

The move is expected to take place next spring and more details will be revealed in the Examiner over the coming months. The Examiner has been in its Queen Street South building for 20 years.
