A month of Bronte events in Mirfield

THE Brontes are the theme of events to take place in Mirfield.

On Friday a Bronte Night will be held at St Paul’s Church, starting at 7.30pm.

It includes a performance from Jane Eyre, a carol concert and jazz vocalist to entertain guests.

Saturday sees a Bronte-themed quiz at The Navigation Tavern, Station Road, Mirfield from 7pm. Proceeds will be donated to Kirkwood Hospice.

In the run-up to Christmas, Mirfield Library is holding a Bronte children’s drawing and writing competition.

And the shops on Eastthorpe, Mirfield, are holding a Bronte word clue competition with a basket of goodies for the winner.
