Rixonway donates drinks flasks for the homeless

A KIRKLEES company is helping homeless people stay warm this winter.

Dewsbury-based Rixonway Kitchens, which supplies kitchens to the social housing sector, has donated 20 vacuum flasks to the Harrogate Homeless Project.

The move comes in response to the number of individuals known to be sleeping rough in the town.

The Harrogate Homeless Project offers nightly food parcels to ensure people sleeping rough have at least one meal a day.

Now they will also get a Rixonway flash with tea or coffee.

Rixonway Kitchens has made the Harrogate Homeless Project its charity of the year.

Operations director Nick Greenall said: “Social housing waiting lists are being stretched to the limit and people are facing repossession and, in extreme cases, homelessness.

“Rixonway is serious about combating homelessness and earlier in the year we donated a large family kitchen to the Harrogate Homeless Project.”
