Syngenta effluent case delayed for third time

A HEARING into allegations that a Huddersfield firm dumped waste has been delayed for the third time.
Leeds Road-based chemical firm Syngenta is accused of discharging trade effluent into a public sewer.
The case, which is being prosecuted by Yorkshire Water, was due to be heard at Huddersfield Magistrates’ Court on October 5.
But both sides asked for the hearing to be adjourned until November 9.
The case was delayed again, and had been due to take place yesterday.
But Yorkshire Water faxed the court on Wednesday asking for a third adjournment. Syngenta supported the request.
The case was adjourned yesterday until January 19.
