HAVE tuba, will travel.
That’s the motto of upcoming theatre star Jay Jones, who today jetted off for a dream gig.
Jay – and his tuba – have landed a Far Eastern role.
Jay, 17, from Slaithwaite, will perform with fellow members of the National Youth Theatre at China’s biggest new car show, in Guangzhou.

The Greenhead College student, who is also a talented gymnast and dancer, will take part in a British-themed performance to promote the launch of the MG6 saloon.
The MG6 is the first new design to be launched under the MG badge, since the UK established marque was bought by Chinese company Nanjing in 2005.
Jay flies out to Hong Kong today and then onto Guangzhou to impress automotive company reps, motoring journalists and the public with a mixture of 1920s and 1930s songs and promenade theatre.
