Daisy Lea Lane in Top 20 streets
A STREET in Huddersfield is one of the most desirable – and expensive – in Yorkshire.
Daisy Lea Lane, Lindley, is today listed in the Top 20 most expensive streets in the region, with an average house price of £557,000.
The figures cover house sales and valuations over a five-year period from 2006 to 2010.
Only streets where there have been at least seven transactions make the table.
The most expensive streets in Yorkshire are mainly in the area that makes up the so-called ‘Golden Triangle’ between Harrogate, Wetherby and north Leeds, according to latest figures from Lloyds TSB.
Five of the ten most expensive streets in the region are in Harrogate; including Green Lane (£758,000), Royal Gardens (£741,000) and Cornwall Road (£714,000).
However, the region’s most expensive street is Bracken Park in Scarcroft in Leeds with an average price of £871,000.
Daisy Lea Lane, which is gated, runs from Lindley down to Halifax Road, Edgerton.
Houses sold in the past few months went for £560,000, £700,000 and £835,000.
A seven-bed detached house in the road is currently on the market for a cool £1.1m.
