HOODIE vandals were caught on CCTV mindlessly wrecking a car in an early-hours crime spree.
The footage shows two youths attacking a Vauxhall Astra with what is thought to have been a screwdriver on Thorne Road in Thornton Lodge.
One of the yobs scratched the car’s near side before engraving what appeared to read ‘Hudds TLC’ – thought to stand for ‘Huddersfield Thornton Lodge Crew’ – into the bonnet.
It is thought the car was one of 10 damaged on the same street by the pair on Saturday morning.
Mohammed Jameel, who bought the Astra for about £6,500 about a year ago, was left furious.
The 29-year-old said: “I was speechless.
“I’m not a violent man, but if I found out who did it I would feel like doing something stupid.
“There are some people round here who think things like this are a big joke. They’re not – they’re messing with people’s lives.
“My savings went into that car.
