TWO men have been jailed for their part in violent clashes which erupted during a New Year’s Eve music event at a Huddersfield nightclub.
Six others were at Bradford Crown Court yesterday after the night of violence.
The court heard yesterday how two men from Birmingham were stabbed in separate incidents during the disturbances at The Mansion nightspot in Beast Market over a year ago.

One passer-by described a scene of “mayhem” outside the premises in the early hours of New Year’s Day last year with bottles being thrown and people being punched indiscriminately.
Although no-one has been put on trial for stabbing either of the two victims, a total of eight Huddersfield men appeared in court for sentencing after they all admitted a charge of violent disorder.
Leigh Miller, 26, of Crossfields, Dalton, was jailed for a total of 26 months after he admitted violent disorder and a separate charge of possessing cannabis with intent to supply it.
Judge Scott Wolstenholme, who watched a compilation of CCTV footage of incidents inside and outside the club, said Miller could be seen repeatedly punching one of the stabbing victims in the street.
The judge accepted that Miller did not know that the man was already suffering serious knife injuries at the time he assaulted him.
The court heard that Miller had a record of previous convictions for violence, including offences of wounding with intent and causing grievous bodily harm in 2005.
Kelvin Pusey, 26, of Town Avenue, Bradley Mills – a well-known amateur footballer – was locked up for 18 months after he was caught on the CCTV footage kicking the same man in the upper body.

Pusey was convicted of assault and affray when he was just 17 and also had other offences of threatening behaviour and battery on his record.
