Forget Me Not Trust launches Hike for Heroes

A CALL has gone out to Huddersfield’s super heroes.

West Yorkshire Forget Me Not Trust wants people to take part in its Hike for super Heroes on Saturday, May 14, at Oakwell Hall, Birstall.

The fundraising event, which is being held during Children’s Hospice Week, involves taking part in a one, two or three-mile walk around the park.

Participants are encouraged to dress up as their favourite super hero in recognition of the work done by staff at children’s hospices nationwide.

Car dealership Polar Ford, based at St Andrew’s Road, Bradley Mills, is backing the event. General manager Mark Knapton said: “We are delighted to be the main sponsor of the Heroes Hike.

“We know how hard the trust works to provide vital services to families in our community and are pleased to support their fundraising efforts.”

Registration is £10 per person and free to under 13s. Entry forms are available from Polar Ford, Forget Me Not charity shops and other retailers in Huddersfield.

Stagedoor Fancy Dress, on Bradford Road, is offering half-price costumes for walkers.
