A WEB designer is offering his services in exchange for charity donations.

Stewart Alexander, 48, from Fartown, will create websites for businesses and organisations for free.

But in exchange they must make a donation to the Joseph Salmon Trust.

The charity provides financial support for families in Huddersfield, Mirfield and Halifax who have lost a child.

Mr Alexander started his company Free Web Design Services in January.

He said: “The thought of losing a child fills me with sadness and tears, and I don’t even have children. So when I heard about Joseph Salmon Trust, I just knew they had to be the first charity to work with.

“Instead of charging, we ask for a small one-time donation to charity for as little or as much as you like.

“Local businesses get a professional website where they can showcase their products and services and build closer relationships with clients, without having to pay any web design fees.

“As more and more business owners take advantage of our services, we’ll regain our investment via the low monthly website hosting fees.

“Most importantly, the charities we support will continue to receive much needed funds to carry out the fantastic work throughout the community.”
