POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a serious accident in South Crosland.
Six people were taken to hospital on Saturday after the two-car crash in Arborary Lane.
The accident happened at 6.40pm and the road was closed for several hours after the incident.
A blue-coloured Skoda Fabia was travelling along Intake Lane and a grey coloured Suzuki Swift was travelling along Arborary Lane when a collision occurred at the junction of both roads.
The occupants of both cars were taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary for treatment.
The driver of the Skoda, a 63-year-old man from Lockwood, and the rear seat passengers, a 32-year-old man and two women aged 65 and 43-years, of Huddersfield, suffered minor injuries.
The front seat passenger, a 63-year-old woman from Lockwood, suffered serious injuries.
The driver of the Suzuki, a 73-year-old woman from Meltham, suffered minor injuries and her 88-year-old female passenger from Crosland Moor suffered serious injuries.
