POLICE were called after a breeze block fell onto the M62 motorway.
The piece of building material fell from a lorry travelling eastbound towards Birstall. Officers from the Highways Agency were called to removed it. The incident happened at around 5pm. A spokesman said it was quickly dealt with and the motorway lanes remained open. Police also attended to keep traffic moving.
