Warning as Stainland Road speed limit is changed

SPEEDING motorists are being warned – you’re being watched.

Police in Stainland and Greetland are carrying out patrols around the Stainland Road area.

It comes as the speed limit is reduced from 30mph to 20mph on a section of Stainland Road through Holywell Green, and on Station Road.

They’ll be monitoring speed between 8am and 10am and 4pm and 6pm after complaints from local residents.

PCSO Sam Sykes has been in the area arranging for warning posters to be placed in key locations advising motorists of the changes.

And speed checks will be carried out by West Yorkshire Police Traffic Officers and Calderdale Road Safety team.

And they’re warning that anyone found breaking the speed limit will be dealt with accordingly.
