Two injured in Stainland car crash

TWO people were injured when their vehicles collided.

A woman driving a hatch-back was in collision with a man in a pick-up truck.

They suffered slight whiplash but no serious injuries and did not need to attend hospital.

The incident happened on Rochdale Road, Stainland at 7.30am on Saturday.

Fire crews from Elland were called because there was a fear that petrol had spilt from one of the vehicles.

However when they got there it was found to be coolant.

They covered the road with sand and moved helped move the vehicles out of the middle of the road.
