THEY’RE more used to dealing with criminals, but the police have skateboarders in their sights.

But it’s only because they’re risking their safety by using roads to skate on.

Greetland officers say they’ve been told a few are posing a danger to road users in the town and are now advising skateboarders to only skate in safe places away from the main roads.

Police have already spoken to several young people about their concerns.

A Facebook group has been formed by some youngsters in a bid to get a skate park built for them in the town.
