ONE or the organisers of this weekend’s planned secret rave in Huddersfield insisted: “We do not want any trouble”.

Katie Spencer, who is helping to arrange Party In The Woods 2011, said: “We have had events in 2009 and 2010 and there has been no problem.

“The police have been along on both occasions and found no problems.”

She and the others behind the mystery event, which could attract at least 1,000 revellers, are adamant that the sole intention was to have a good time.

She said all the organisers had arranged the previous events to steer clear of the problems associated with pubs and clubs late at night.

Miss Spencer, 29, would not reveal the location for Saturday night’s event but confirmed it would not take place in woodland on the Storthes Hall complex, scene of last year’s rave.

“We held the first one to mark my 27th birthday in 2009 and it took place in Bluebell Woods in Mirfield.

“We were tired of going into clubs and seeing bottles thrown about and people fighting. We are all like-minded people who love music and we roped in friends who are DJs to bring their equipment.

“That first party had about 300 people and everyone enjoyed it so much we held one last year at Storthes Hall. We will not be there this year as we appreciate it does upset local residents.

“It drew about 800 people last year and again, there was no hint of trouble. We had the police there and they just chatted to us but there was no trouble.
