Huddersfield's Det Insp Mark Truelove's weekly look at crime in Huddersfield.
THIS is the man police believe was involved in a stabbing in Huddersfield.
And detectives hope the CCTV images they are releasing today will help them find him.
I am appealing for people to contact us with information that could help us find this man we suspect of being involved in the stabbing in the town centre in May of this year.
I would also make a plea directly to the man himself: Come forward now and talk to us.
The incident happened at 4.30am on the morning of Thursday, May 19, when an 18-year old man was stabbed at the GT Taxis office on Lord Street in Huddersfield.
The young man, who had been out for the evening in Huddersfield, was waiting for a taxi when he was approached by a group of men who chased him into a back office of GT Taxis.
Once in the back office, the victim was stabbed in his stomach.
The suspects ran from the taxi office and left the scene in a Ford people carrier. Fortunately, the 18-year old’s injuries were not life-threatening and he was allowed home after hospital treatment, but this could easily have been an even more serious crime.
As a result of an extensive investigation into the incident, carried out by Huddersfield CID, we have been able to arrest and charge four people with wounding.
They are currently going through the courts.
