A TOUGH crackdown on violent disorder in Huddersfield has led to 26 arrests.
And police pledged that more arrests will follow in their determination to catch those responsible for wanton damage and destruction.
More arrests have been made in Kirklees than any other part of West Yorkshire.
A team of detectives are following up several lines of inquiry to trace other suspects following the incidents which blighted Deighton, Sheepridge, Dalton and Newsome.
The team of specially trained officers are tracking down those responsible as part of Operation Ringway, which is being headed by Kirklees divisional commander Chief Supt John Robins..
The incidents under investigation include damaging and looting at Asda, serious damage and an assault at The Top Club in Sheepridge and damage to a number of shop windows.
There was also a firebomb attack on a family centre in Dalton.
Last Friday the Examiner published CCTV images of those responsible for looting the Asda store on Bradford Road.
One man with a scarf covering the lower half of his face could clearly be seen removing a flat screen television from the store.
Police say people have already come forward with information about the perpetrators.
A spokeswoman for West Yorkshire Police said the release of the CCTV images had proved very effective, with members of the public coming forward with information about the incident. More images could also be released in the coming days.
And she said police were now busy following up leads and making further enquiries.
Male youths and adults have already been arrested in connection with incidents in the town. Some remain in custody but others have been bailed.
They include two 15-year-olds, a 16-year-old, a 17-year-old and a 22-year-old.
