A MAN has been fined for obstructing a police officer.
Shafaq Ahmed had parked on a Fixby pavement blocking pedestrian access when a police officer approached.
Ahmed, 48, drove off as the police officer tried to issue a Fixed Penalty Notice.
Ahmed, of Halifax Old Road, yesterday pleaded guilty to the offence which happened on May 6 on Broomfield Road.
Huddersfield Magistrates Court fined Ahmed £30, ordered him to pay £85 court costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
