Fun run booked for 2012
BAYWATCH babes, clowns and rock stars were just a few of the entrants gracing this year’s Fired-Up family fun run.
Yesterday’s 4.4km race in Farnley Tyas saw 210 people dress-up to raise money for Kirkwood Hospice.
Event organiser Samantha Kaye said: “We have had an absolutely amazing day and the effort put into costumes by everybody was fantastic. This is the second year for the fun run and it is a joy to organise.
“My friend and I went as Bill and Ben the flowerpot men while my husband Richard went as a Smurf.
“I decided to put together this run for Kirkwood Hospice because I have had a lot of friends and family cared for there. They are wonderful.”
The Fired-Up group of St Thomas Road, Huddersfield, sponsored the event.
Samantha thanked the firm for making it such a success, in particular Kelly Mason from its design team.
Fired-Up, along with Clarins from House of Fraser, also donated a valuable raffle prize.
