A FATHER and son have been ordered to pay an injured woman compensation following a disturbance at a Lepton club.
Jackie Wesley and her husband Mark were enjoying a birthday party at the Lepton Highlanders Sports Club when a scuffle broke out.
By the end of the night she had suffered a badly broken forearm.
She will now receive compensation of £4,800 from Kirkheaton father and son Christopher and Michael Humphries.
Although the duo were not attending the party, there was “bad feeling” between Christopher Humphries and Mr Wesley.
Prosecutor Claire Larton told Bradford Crown Court yesterday that Christopher Humphries made it aware he would be “waiting outside” for Mr Wesley at the November party.
Miss Larton said although Mr Wesley tried to sort out the problem by speaking to Michael Humphries, a struggle broke out and father and son were involved in punching another man.
