A TROUBLE-HIT Huddersfield bar has closed its doors for good.
Repeated violence problems at That Bar on King Street led police to call for the bar’s closure.
And after a four-week enforced shut down, former Giants rugby player owner Phil Joseph agreed to surrender the licence permanently, meaning the bar will not re-open.
The allegations included breaches of the bar’s licence and problems with CCTV.
Sgt Mandy Mellor, from Huddersfield Police, said: “We do our best to work with pubs and clubs in Huddersfield, but there is only so much we can do. Prior to the hearing the designated premises supervisor Phil Joseph agreed with West Yorkshire Police’s request to surrender the licence.”
