Huddersfield Tumble Tots join forces with Peppa Pig to raise money for charity
TOTS across Huddersfield are rolling around in the name of charity.
Youngsters at Tumble Tots groups across the town have joined forces with kids’ TV favourite Peppa Pig, to raise money for Tommy’s, the baby charity.
And as part of Roll Over with Peppa for Tommy’s, toddlers are being sponsored to perform 10 different rolling activities.
The nationwide initiative aims to raise £50,000 for the charity – which funds research into miscarriage, stillbirth, premature birth and provides information on having a healthy pregnancy.
Within the Huddersfield classes, 280 children have already made attempts to join in rolling activities, including pencil rolls and sausage rolls.
Many of them enjoyed the fun sessions yesterday at Moldgreen United Reformed Church.
More than 45,000 children are expected to join nationally.
Monique Brennan of Tumble Tots Huddersfield, said: “We have been encouraging parents to get children active from the word go.
“The National Children’s Activity Week will gently encourage us all to be active, particularly with the Government recommendations for physical activity for infants under five years needing at least 180 minutes of physical activity.
