A ROAD rescue and recovery service drove off with a special prize.

Britannia Rescue, based at Folly Hall Mills, was recognised for its commitment to Huddersfield, its service levels to partners, brokers and customers – and its support for local good causes.

The company includes Asda and Barclaycard among its partners.

Delighted operations manager Stacey Chapman said: “This has come as a marvellous surprise and a real honour.

“We invest heavily in our staff and our workforce has gone from 85 to 180 which is a testament to the talent that there is in Huddersfield. We are part of the LV= group and they have shown a great commitment to this area.

“We always send out a questionnaire every time we help one of our customers and the surveys show that 98% rate us as excellent or good.

“Tonight’s success is all down to the skills of our workforce and this award is for them.’’

Britannia Rescue opted to base its 24-hour contact centre in Huddersfield rather than Leeds or Manchester.

From there, staff oversee a recovery service comprising more than 300 garages across 500 locations UK-wide.
