What a blast on Bonfire Night in Huddersfield - Are you on one of our pictures?

THOUSANDS of festival-goers gathered around the bonfire for the spectacular firework displays in Huddersfield this weekend.

And Bonfire Night was an enormous success across the region – with West Yorkshire Fire Service reporting no major incidents.

The Crosland Hill firework display, organised by Huddersfield Pendragon Round Table, was so popular organisers had to shut the gates to stop too many people coming in.

Based at Crosland Hill near the Sands House Public House, and just above the Standard Fireworks factory, the event raises thousands of pounds every year with all proceeds going back into the local community.

Parkwood bonfire in Golcar was a blast – with 1,500 people enjoying the Pirates of the Caribbean-themed show.

One of the organisers Richard Jackson told The Examiner the firework display was done to music and in front of specially-designed scenery.
