A PENSIONER was rescued this morning after fire broke out in the kitchen of his Brighouse home. Fire crews were called to Manley Street at around 7.50am and assisted the elderly man in fleeing the property. He was treated by paramedics at the scene and taken to Calderdale Hospital suffering from smoke inhalation. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Read
