A PUB landlady was fined after placing her new parking permit in her car a day early.
Taya Hayes, 33, was shocked to be stung with a £70 ticket after parking outside The Grove pub in Springwood.
Kirklees Council last week sent her a renewed resident’s permit allowing her to park legally on Spring Grove Street.
The new permit has an expiry date of November 30, 2012.
However, there was no start date on the permit or the accompanying letter from Kirklees.
Mrs Hayes assumed that the new permit was valid immediately and placed it in the window of her yellow Hyundai Amiga.
But on Tuesday – November 29 – a council parking warden slapped a ticket on her windscreen.
Her husband Ian, 47, told the Examiner yesterday: “She was fined for ‘parking in a permit space without displaying a valid permit’.
