No One slot looms for X Factor contestants
TWO Huddersfield teenagers are likely to find themselves on top of the charts tomorrow.
Ashford Campbell and Jordan Higo both feature on The X Factor’s charity single, Wishing On A Star.
And the song is widely expected to reach Number 1 in the official charts tomorrow evening.
The single also features the other contestants who made the live shows along with previous contestants JLS and One Direction.
The release has been outselling its nearest expected competitor – Olly Murs’ Dance With Me Tonight – by more than two copies to one this week, according to the Official Charts Company. The Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice in Bradley will receive a share of the cover of the Rose Royce hit.
The single has been recorded by the ITV competition’s 16 finalists including Lowerhouses singer Ashford, a member of the boyband The Risk, and Nu Vibe band member Jordan, of Crosland Moor.
They were joined by boy bands One Direction and JLS – both former X Factor groups.
Both Ashford and Jordan returned to the X Factor stage last Sunday to perform the song, which was met with a standing ovation from the studio audience.
