A MAN was stabbed on a main Huddersfield road just weeks after a man was shot a few hundred yards away.
The teenager was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary for emergency treatment after the incident on Bradford Road in Fartown.
Police swooped to arrest two men after the drama at 4.25am yesterday.
They were taken to Huddersfield police station where they were questioned by detectives yesterday.
The 18-year-old had been stabbed in the chest.
His injuries have been described by police as ‘non life-threatening’.
Residents who live alongside the busy main road woke yesterday to find a large police cordon outside their homes.
No-one appears to have heard or seen anything.
Police have confirmed that the two men arrested are aged 36 and 28.
Both remained in police custody late yesterday evening.
A police spokesman said: “At 4.25am yesterday police were called to Bradford Road in Fartown after the ambulance service reported being contacted by a man who had been stabbed.
