Milnsbridge woman in court accused of burgling village properties

A MILNSBRIDGE woman has appeared in court accused of two burglaries.

Joanne Thorpe, of Lockbridge Way, was before Huddersfield magistrates via a prison video link.

On November 13 she is alleged to have entered Wain Court, Berry Brow, as a trespasser and stolen a handbag and its contents.

Just days later, on November 21, she allegedly entered a property on Victoria Close in the village and took a set of keys.

The case was adjourned so that both matters can be committed to crown court together.

Thorpe, 32, will next appear before the magistrates’ court on January 26.
