THEY wanted it to be high visual – and it was, in front of millions of TV viewers.

Thousands of Huddersfield Town fans wore lime green T-shirts in response to the long-running shares dispute.

And they say that more similar protests will follow.

The Huddersfield Town Supporters Association (HTSA) protest was staged to put them in the national media spotlight via the Sky TV cameras during the 3-2 win over Brentford.

HTSA secretary Richard Pepper told the Examiner: “We were very pleased with Saturday’s protest which had a positive response from fans. People were queuing up for the shirts at one point, but we managed to keep on top of it.

“I think it was a most effective way of getting our point across. It’s not exactly T-shirt weather, but fans responded well.
