Birkby teen Troy Hudson grinned as he knifed victim in the chest and stole £100 – he’s now behind bars

A HUDDERSFIELD street mugging victim was knifed in the chest by a 16-year-old youth – even as he had handed over property worth just £110.

The six-inch blade used by Troy Hudson narrowly missed 19-year-old Koerie Willsdon’s heart, but he later collapsed with a punctured lung as a result of Hudson’s gratuitous attack on him during a late-night confrontation in Colne Road, Huddersfield.

Hudson, of Norwood Road, Birkby, stabbed the defenceless teenager after holding the knife to his neck, causing a cut and demanding his mobile phone and wallet.

Prosecutor Claire Larton told Bradford Crown Court yesterday how Mr Willsdon pleaded with Hudson saying: “Please don’t stab me. Take my mobile phone. There’s three of you. I’m not going to do anything.”

As Hudson pressed the knife to the teenager’s throat the complainant added: “You’ve got my wallet. Please don’t hurt me. You can back off.”

Miss Larton said the victim made it very clear he wanted no trouble and they could have whatever they wanted.

“Hudson let go and then without any warning suddenly lunged forward towards Mr Willsdon’s neck with the knife.” said Miss Larton.

The victim pulled away causing the blow to miss, but, with the knife blade protruding from the bottom of his fist, Hudson lunged again and stabbed Mr Willsdon in the chest.

The teenager described Hudson’s eyes as being wide open and said he appeared to be smirking or grinning as he stabbed him.

Mugging

Hudson’s uncle, Tony Igo, 45, of Brook Buildings, Marsh, was one of his accomplices during the robbery in September last year. He did not say anything and they ran off.

Miss Larton said the victim was bleeding heavily and sought help at nearby houses.
