A LOWERHOUSES woman has appeared in court accused of stealing sex toys from a town centre shop.

Chantelle Stanislaus, of Hall Cross Road, appeared before Kirklees magistrates yesterday.

The 22-year-old is alleged to have stolen seven vibrators and four perfumes from the Ann Summers store on the Piazza in Huddersfield town centre on September 18.

The items said to have been taken are worth a total of £306.

Another woman, Jodie Little, of Greenlea Court, Dalton, is also accused of the same offence.

The magistrates sitting in Huddersfield were told that Little, also 22, was unable to attend court.

They agreed to adjourn the case so that the women could appear in court together.

The pair will next be before the court on February 16.

They were both granted unconditional bail until that date.
