A DRIVER abandoned this car after getting it stuck on steps in the Holme Valley.
The motorist appears to have tried to avoid roadworks on Miry Lane in Thongsbridge by driving onto the pavement.
But the Mazda got stuck on steps leading to Heys Lane during the incident on Wednesday evening.
The car was abandoned and a yellow police incident sticker was on the windscreen yesterday morning.
Derek Hawkins, who lives on Miry Lane, took this picture of the trapped vehicle.
He told the Examiner: "There are some roadworks blocking off the road so you’re supposed to cross onto the right side of the road.
"The driver decided to come down the pavement on the left side but got stuck on the four steps there.
"It can’t be moved without a truck."
