A TEENAGER threatened to kill his former girlfriend after she refused to let him into her home, a court was told.
The 16-year-old, who cannot be named, appeared before Kirklees magistrates sitting in Huddersfield yesterday.
He faces charges of threats to kills, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and criminal damage.
The bench was told that the alleged offences were committed at the Almondbury home of the teen’s girlfriend on February 6.
Linda Fowler, prosecuting, said that the couple had recently split after an 18-month relationship.
She said that the day before the alleged offences the girl had received a text from her ex asking to stay at her home overnight and she agreed.
The girl asked him to leave the following morning but his mood changed and he became aggressive, the prosecutor said.
Mrs Fowler said that the girl then texted her friend and neighbour to come over.
She said her ex was later shut out of the property and told to go away.
Mrs Fowler said that the lad then began kicking at the door to get in.
She said: “He was kicking the door really hard, so much that it was shaking on its hinges. She called at him to go away and decided to go upstairs and call police.
