A MAN was honoured for his long service to the Royal Air Force Association.

Mr Tony Bailey has been secretary of the Huddersfield branch for 16 years. He was presented with an engraved paper knife, by Mr Frank Smith, when he stood down from the post at the annual meeting.

Mr Donald Irving is the new secretary. Other officials elected were: treasurer, Patrick Marnell; chairman, Richard Broadbent; vice-chairman Tony Bailey; PRO Gerald Taylor.

District representatives Darrell Slater-Smith and Geoff Middleton also attended the meeting, at the George Hotel.
