Easter bunnies left for dead on Good Friday along the Huddersfield Narrow Canal
THEIR cruel owner left them for dead in a sack by the canal.
But thankfully these Easter bunnies were found by someone with a much bigger heart.
These Netherland dwarf rabbits were picked up by a woman walking along the Huddersfield Narrow Canal, at Marsden, on Good Friday.
She found the sack in a bush by the towpath. She went to investigate after hearing a noise as she walked past.
The RSPCA have now taken them in and say they believe the rabbits were to be drowned in the canal or left to starve by whoever dumped them.
One of rabbits has already gone to a good home, staying with the woman who found it.
And the other two, believed to be a mum and baby, are staying at Huddersfield and Halifax District RSPCA’s headquarters in Halifax.
