A MAN has been charged after a police officer was shot with an air rifle in Elland.
The 22-year-old was detained after the incident on Sunday.
The officer was slightly hurt after police were called to Westbury Street at 9am to reports of an assault involving an air rifle.
The officer later returned to duty.
The man has been charged with possessing an air weapon with intent to cause fear of violence, resisting arrest and possessing controlled drugs.
