A MAN has appeared in court facing charges of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.
Kamaran Ibrahim, of Westtown in Dewsbury, was before Kirklees Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
He is accused of using or threatening unlawful violence towards two men in Batley on August 21 last year.
He is further charged with possession of an offensive weapon – a knife – at Bromley Street in the town.
Magistrates at a previous hearing decided that the 27-year-old’s case should be heard at crown court.
He will first appear before Leeds Crown Court on Wednesday May 16 for a plea and case management.
