HUDDERSFIELD'S ring road was blocked after an accident this afternoon.

The incident happened at the junction of Northgate and Bradford Road around 3pm.

Two cars collided at the traffic lights.

One man was injured and was treated by paramedics and fire brigade and was taken to hospital.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The incident took around 30 minutes to clear.
