Here in Huddersfield temperatures are expected to remain in the low twenties centigrade at least until Wednesday.
Salendine Nook weatherman Paul Stevens confirmed it is set to stay dry and warm well into next week.
He said: “We’re not expecting anything exceptional for this time of year, I think the peak temperature has passed us when we almost hit 80°F (26°C) on Thursday.
“But it’s going to be very warm, about 70°F (24°C), with a light breeze – great barbecue weather.”
At Wembley, for Huddersfield Town’s League One play-off final against Sheffield United today, temperatures are also expected to peak at 70°F (24°C).
The Football League last night confirmed that the Terriers will be getting England’s home dressing room for the crunch season-ending match.
