A MAN ignored an order to stay away from a neighbour he is accused of assaulting, a court heard.
Johnny Barrett, of Rashcliffe Hill Road, Lockwood, appeared before Kirklees magistrates.
He denies assaulting Kirsten McKie and is on conditional bail until he appears before the court on July 24.
As part of his bail conditions, the 32-year-old is banned from contacting Miss McKie.
However on July 14 Barrett breached this when he spoke to her.
He was subsequently arrested by police and was before magistrates in custody.
The incident happened at a block of flats on Swan Lane in Lockwood, where he had been living next door to Miss McKie.
Barrett admitted speaking to her and that this put him in breach of his bail conditions.
Magistrates agreed to readmit Barrett to bail on the same conditions as previously.
They also banned him from going into Swan Lane as he has since moved.
