New Beaver Colony at Crosland Moor in 1990

A BRAND new Beaver colony was set up at Crosland Moor.

Fourteen boys went to the first session of the group, meeting every Wednesday, at the Scout headquarters in Moorside Avenue.

Beavers - open to boys between six and eight-years-old - is the youngest section of the scouting movement.

Leaders Mrs Christine Frost is pictured looking through the new Beaver handbook with the new recruits and helpers.
