ONE person and two horses were killed in a road crash in Ripponden this morning.

Calderdale police were called to Rochdale Road near its junction with Baitings Gate Road at 5.39am.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "Road traffic officers are still at the scene. It's believed the accident involved three cars."

Emergency services are still at the scene and the section of the A58 Rochdale Road is closed from Ripponden crossroads.
