GLAMOROUS models from Huddersfield’s Louise Morton Agency were preparing to set sail for Belgium on a television cruise to help raise millions for regional charities.

Activities aboard the North Sea Ferries ship were to feature during a Yorkshire Television 27-hour non-stop transmission, which was also to include the Grumbleweeds, singing group Wall Street Crash and the Brian Rogers Dancers, who were seen live on shows including 3-2-1 and Live At The Palladium. Emmerdale Farm actors and other celebrities were also to take part.

Passengers were to pay £100 to join the trip.
